It’s nearly March 17th … do you have your green outfit picked out yet? The St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is an annual event that Irish lovers from around the world look forward to each year in London. Whether you’re of Irish heritage or just love a fabulous parade, head to London this March 17th, to join in the fun for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. You’ll spot marching bands, colorful costumes, dancers and a spectacular 36-metre-long inflatable dragon as the parade passes by. It sets off at midday from Piccadilly near Green Park and follows a route along Regent Street, Pall Mall and finishes in Trafalgar Square. And that’s where the hub of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will take place on Sunday afternoon. Just take a look at the crowds!
The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Trafalgar Square includes a food market, children’s area, films, lively Irish music and dancing and an Irish comedy in the afternoon. The free festival will take place until 6pm in Trafalgar Square. Come along and join London’s Irish community in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this March 17th in Trafalgar Square!
