The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (also known as Harry and Meghan) are about to introduce their royal baby to the world. We’re getting in the celebratory spirit by rounding up the cutest boutique baby stores in London. Whether you’re after a regal gift for a new bundle of joy or just stocking up on outfits for one of your favorite little princes or princesses, here are the sweetest baby stores in London.
Baby Stores In London
Bonpoint
For chic bébés, check out the ultra-sophisticated heritage Parisian brand, Bonpoint. We love the refined little accessories here like the straw boater hats and adorable purses decorated with Bonpoint’s signature cherries. There are even a few cute items for grown-ups to buy.
There are several Bonpoint stores dotted around London, but our favorites are the elegant Bonpoint Notting Hill (right next to one of Notting Hill’s favorite breakfast spots, Granger & Co.), the one in Knightsbridge and the one in South Kensington. We have many family friendly apartments nearby and the city is also full of non-stuffy, kid-approved museums like the Science Museum and the National History Museum.
Marie-Chantal
For baby goods with a royal pedigree, look no further than Marie-Chantal. Created by Greece’s Princess Marie-Chantal, this bijou brand offers luxurious baby clothing and accessories. Even the logo is regal. Marie-Chantal has gorgeous gift sets. We love this positively royal wing and crown gift set with a sleep suit and knitted blanket with a hood featuring a crown. There’s even a whole collection of cashmere for boys and girls, which would make another great gift for the royal baby in your life.
You can order online, and there’s also a lovely Marie-Chantal shop in Belgravia that you can visit. It’s within walking distance of the Georgiana, which sleeps six. And it’s also near the charming Belgravia, which sleeps five.
Harrods Toy Kingdom
On the fourth floor of Harrods in Hall 6, you’ll find a dreamland for kids. Harrods is one of London’s most iconic department stores, and their toy section is legendary with row upon row of every kind of toy imaginable. There’s also a whole section in Harrods for children’s clothing and accessories as well as “prams” or strollers. But these are no ordinary strollers. Perhaps you’re in the market for a new high-spec pram by luxury British automotive company Aston Martin? Or maybe this old-world Victorian pram with herringbone tweed hood and white leather frame is more your style? Even if you’re not in the market, browsing through their fabulous royal-ready collection is half the fun. And it’s one of the reasons why Harrods is one of the most unexpectedly wonderful baby stores in London.
Bonus tip: Once you’re done on the upper levels, head to the stunning food court on the shop’s lowest level. It’s a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth, though it does get very busy. Keep that in mind if you’re traveling with antsy kids.
Petit Bateau
Dating back to 1893, Petit Bateau is another darling French brand with several brick-and-mortar baby stores in London. This is a great shop for chic and high-quality baby basics like bibs and rompers. They have the cutest little Breton marinière striped outfits too, and nothing is too fussy. Most items are pretty minimalistic, and though this is a French brand, there’s something very British about these restrained classic pieces.
There’s a lovely Petit Bateau shop in Notting Hill on Ledbury Road, which actually has several other chic baby stores like Caramel and Velveteen. With lots of families around, Notting Hill is a great area to stay in if you’re visiting London with the whole clan. If you’re after space, try out the nearby Danebury apartment, which has plenty of room and an amazing outdoor roof deck for those sunny spring days.
Whether you’re visiting London as a fan of the ever-growing British royal family or just as a treat for your own family, London Perfect can help you find an amazing apartment in London’s very best family-friendly neighborhoods. Get in touch today.
