Our London Vacation Rental Apartment
Everyone will tell you that the best locations in London are Kensington, Chelsea and Notting Hill Gate. Our Wellington loft studio is located in the center of Kensington, on our favourite square, Onslow Gardens.
This luxurious vacation apartment has been meticulously remodelled and furnished to the highest standard to provide an elegant and comfortable stay for you in London.
Importantly, you are walking distance to the famous Museum Row, Kensington Palace, the trendy shops and restaurants of Fulham Road, including Walton Street, Sloane Street and Fulham Road. You are two minutes walk to South Kensington Tube, direct to Heathrow and the Theatre District.
The luxurious vacation vacation apartment is located on the Garden level of a beautiful Victorian row of houses. This is a very safe neighbourhood and there is a triple security lock on the front door and grills over the windows.
Step into the of the vacation apartment front door to find a row of closets in front of you, utility room on your left and bathroom on your right. Further right, walk into the spacious living room.
The luxurious vacation apartment has been completely remodelled and the finishing touches are superb. Find beautiful teak wood floors throughout, spanning the entire length of this long studio loft.
The London vacation apartment dining table is straight ahead and sits in front of the large double windows providing good natural light. The glass table can seat up to 8 for dining with friends. Pretty Italian pottery dishes make eating here a pleasure.
A comfortable, large sectional sofa is next, facing the working marble fireplace. The beige and brown tones blend beautifully with the hemp frame and teak floors. The seats are long, meaning you can relax after a long day; lighting is excellent so snuggle up to a good book by the fire or study your itinerary for the day.
The matching armchair sits by our London apartment fireplace. In the evenings or on cold days, it’s heavenly to relax in the cosy warmth of the fire, with good company and a glass of wine. You know you have arrived in the heart of London, enjoying the feel and history of England.
The flat screen TV is designed so that you can watch it from the living room, or move the arm so you can watch it from bed. There is a stereo with CD player on the left of the fireplace, so bring your favourite music.
The luxurious vacation apartment is superbly designed as you can see from the creation of the bedroom space. It is divided from the living room by a contemporary bookcase of wood, sanded glass and book nooks. It’s beautifully done: this long loft retains a feeling of space, yet offers excellent privacy to the bedroom area.
The London vacation apartment bed has a new, high quality queen sized bed for a great night’s sleep. There are even more closets here, with dark wood interiors, purpose built for the flat.
An important note; the neighbourhood, street and vacation rental are extremely quiet and you will find it hard to believe that you are in center London.
On the left hand wall is the newly remodelled kitchen, furnished in dark woods and granite, sophisticated and practical. A counter and window opening give a feeling of light and space; there are two bar stools for grabbing quick meals. The kitchen of our London apartment is also perfectly crafted: large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave with convection oven, four burner stove and good counter space. You can see how enjoyable it is to simply have dinner at home or to invite friends over to join you.
There is a fax machine for your use and a high speed adsl computer line, free to use.
The bathroom is tiled in brown marble tile with modern bathtub and shower, sink and toilet. The small touches make all the differences; glass shelves, beautiful workmanship and elegant marble. Our first thought on entering was luxuriating in a bath at the end of a day.
On the left of the entryway is the utility room featuring large sink, washer and separate dryer. This is an excellent space to store all your luggage – it is enormous.
This is a non smoking vacation apartment and sorry but we do not allow pets.

The location of our London apartment is excellent, central to everything in Kensington and Knightsbridge and an easy tube ride to major monuments, theatre district, Victoria station and Heathrow airport.
Our Wellington vacation rental apartment is a short walk to the famous Museum Row, including the Natural History and Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. The Natural History and Science Museum have been recently remodeled thanks to the generous pool of funds from the British Lottery. The displays are excellent and highly recommended for children. The V+A, as the Victoria and Albert Museum is called, houses important decorative arts collections as well as Islamic art and an unbeatable dress collection of garments and fashion dating from the 1300's to the swinging 60's.
Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are nearby, great for playing, running, walking, picnicking, bicycling, rollerskating, etc.
Kensington Palace is there, with its beautiful gardens and Orangery. The Palace now has a museum which houses the Court Dress Collection, including some of Princess Diana's gowns. Also featured are some of Princess Margaret’s rooms, sister to Queen Elisabeth. She was the first real rebel of the family, featuring lost love, divoce and a jet set lifestyle; she first in the public limelight as British newspapers crossed over unspoken bounds to expose sensational stories. The Crown have opened some of her apartment in the Palace since she passed away.
Hyde Park is next to Kensington Gardens, a 5 minute walk.
Walk 10 minutes from our London vacation rental apartment along Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park to Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Burberry's in Knightsbridge. Find the big designer shops such as Chanel, Prada, YSL, etc and exclusive restaurants walking down Sloane Street, where you arrive at Peter Jone’s department store and the start of King’s Road.
