Our new “River View” London apartment rental located along the Thames River Embankment in Chelsea is a fabulous one-bedroom apartment that can comfortably accommodate two people. Located on the 3rd floor and featuring loads of windows, this apartment is splashed in sunlight with both the living room and the kitchen windows providing panoramic views of the Thames. A leisurely stroll along the river’s broad tree-lined walkway is intriguing: the many small boats plying their trade, a beautiful bench cast in the Victorian age when all things Egyptian were the rage, an antique lamppost sure to take you back to the days of Sherlock Holmes. And right next door are the expansive and lovely green grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the retirement home of the wonderful red-coated Chelsea Pensioners, the retired British soldiers who still wear their scarlet coats and tricorne hats on special occasions. The hospital is also home to the famous Chelsea Flower Show and the Decorex International interior design show. Be sure to explore the small cemetery out front, with its engravings dating to the 1700s. If you like to bike, run, or picnic, head across the Thames to famous Battersea Park where you can also visit the Buddhist temple nearby. Of course, shopping in London is always a favorite activity, and you won’t be disappointed with your RiverView location. A 12-minute walk takes you to Sloane Square where you’ll find the tube for transportation anywhere, but why leave town when you’ve got the Peter Jones department store dominating the square and the famous shopping of King’s Road heading off to the west. There’s also the newly developed Duke of York pedestrian precinct, great restaurants, and intimate cafes. River View is indeed the ideal center for experiencing everything London has to offer. |

The bus stop is on your left as you leave the building. The 360 bus is excellent and everyone who lives in this part of Chelsea hops on. It runs every few minutes and takes you direct to Sloane Square and throughout Kensington.
Alternatively, Sloane Square Tube(the London Subway) is a 12 minute walk.
7 ‘Red buses’ which take you throughout Lodnon are less than 10 minute’s walk on the famous King’s Road. These red buses are what everyone who lives here takes to transport you all over London. Simply buy a week’s Travel Pass which is good for any bus or the Tube (the Subway in London). |

Description of our River View apartment rental.
Take the elevator to the third floor and enter the front door to a small hallway. The bedroom and bathroom are to the left, and the living room/dining area and kitchen are to the right. As you step into the living room/dining area, you can’t help noticing the amount of light pouring in from the many windows. This large, bright room provides sweeping views of the Thames River, but your eyes want to come right back inside to appreciate all that this room has to offer.
Before you is a beautiful antique mahogany dining table surrounded by four upholstered chairs, and it is situated so you can enjoy views of the river while you dine. The living area is to the left, and it is large enough to accommodate two sofas and two comfortably upholstered armchairs. The armchairs face the fireplace, which is complemented by a striking oil painting above and framed by windows on either side. All of the raised windows reach to the high ceiling and are framed by beautiful draperies that extend down to the floor. With its quality furniture, attractive lighting, and artful touches, this large room is museum-quality elegant, yet comfortable and inviting.
A doorway to the right of the dining area leads to the large kitchen, which was not overlooked in the extensive remodeling effort. Beautiful gold-hued granite countertops and recessed lighting complement the modern, cream-colored cabinetry and its stylish hardware. It has been outfitted with all new appliances: large refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, top-of-the-line dishware and cookware, coffee maker—everything you need to prepare gourmet meals at home, providing you can tear your eyes away from the gorgeous view of the Thames from the large window over the sink.
The bedroom is back down the entrance hallway to the left. It easily accommodates a luxurious queen-sized bed. Two large windows features views of the beautiful Royal Hospital Chelsea gardens. Lounge against the raised upholstered headboard of the bed and enjoy the view every morning – the linens are fine all cotton bedding with goose down duvet.
The bathroom is last, but not least. It, too, has been totally remodeled and features porcelain and chrome fixtures, a soaring mirror over the sink, and a very large shower with pale tumbled marble tiles and a full-sized window (Yes, in the shower!). The large, chrome, heated towel racks next to the huge shower will keep those big white fluffy towels we provide warm for you for whenever you decide to get out.
This is one of the prettiest apartments we have seen and is in a beautiful location. We think you will enjoy your stay here!

This is an all-inclusive price for a week’s rental but longer stays are possible; each additional night will be charged at the pro rata nightly rate. The only other additional costs are your phone use. There are no additional taxes or fees, except for your phone bill. |

Please note the elevator is in the process of being upgraded so we are offering a specially reduced price for your stay. The stairs are not steep and we ourselves have had no trouble climbing them to get to the apartment.
