The Thames is a fast flowing river which was at its peak in the days of the English Empire when trading ships sailed up and down to The Tower of London and to the famous Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf beyond.
Across the river is beautiful Battersea Park, only a few minutes walk. Walk, run, bicycle and picnic here as Londoners have been doing for centuries.

An antique cast iron and wood bench along the River Bank. Egypt was all the rage and the benches were cast with the heads of sphnix’s on them.

The Royal Hospital is now home to the red uniformed Chelsea Pensioners.

A Buddhist shrine sits in quiet beauty across the river, just next to the famous Battersea Park.
